Cold roller technology includes pushing the bend out as the wheel
rotates on a lathe using a motorized roller. Because no heat is used in
this method, there is a higher chance of the wheel cracking, and no
actual heating is done. Because most machines cannot alter the wheel
laterally, cold roller technology is usually limited to radial bends.
